Many of us love to read. It can be fiction or non fiction. And the stories we read can vary widely and tell of fantastic voyages or adventures. But the importance of educational books should never be taken for granted. They form a vital way for most of us to gain a great deal more knowledge and understanding than we might otherwise gain. Let’s discuss this further.
Educational books need not necessarily be dull or boring. Children read educational books all the time but they are written in a way which is interesting and exciting. The book may teach children how to count or use arithmetic functions. But it may do so while crafting an interesting story about two children who must add up a group of numbers to accomplish an important task.
There are educational books on all kinds of topics and they are written in many different languages. These educational books can be written for a broad range of ages and interests.
And educational books can be obtained from many sources. The most important place is probably a school or university. They use educational books regularly.
These kinds of books are also extensively stored and used at libraries. You can probably gain access to all these books for free if you register with the library. It is a wonderful opportunity to expand your knowledge whenever you wish.
Educational books are also available for sale from virtually any local bookstore. They can also be sold on the major online booksellers like Amazon. You can search their catalog and find a very wide variety of topics to suit the interest of yourself and just about anyone else you might know.
So don’t think that educational books are only about school or learning. They do teach the reader something new. But many of them do so in an interesting and entertaining manner. Check out some options today.

Math And Games–Some Examples
It can often be difficult to teach math concepts to students quickly and effectively. Many students simply have a hard time understanding and applying many of these concepts. However the use of math and games allows many more students to better understand math concepts and apply them to current situations very effectively. Here are some examples.
Educators learned a long time ago that students usually find it much easier to understand math concepts through the use of games. There are a wide variety of games designed to help student to master all kinds of math concepts.
These games help the students to better understand different math concepts. There are games which are appropriate for preschool right up through college level. The advent of the Internet has also enabled many more effective math games to be developed and used.
For simple problems, games are available which assist women in their counting. They can review the questions, think about the answers and then receive immediate response and feedback. This type of real time feedback has proven invaluable in helping to teach the concepts and then providing strong reinforcement for successful learning.
If you search the Internet under math games, you’ll find many great choices. There are some outstanding online stores which specialize in educational toys and games. Many of these sources operate on the Internet and have strong resources when it comes to trained personnel and strong customer support.
The online math games are very well designed and can help capture and excitement of learning. Along with online resources, there are also some outstanding choices in local businesses which specialize in educational games and toys. Look through your online or offline yellow pages and then check into the available resources.

Education in Emergencies
In emergency situations where there are no schools or where children face difficult circumstances such as full-time work, discrimination, or displacement due to conflict or natural disaster, ChildFund offers and supports non-formal educational opportunities in Child Centered Spaces. ChildFund’s Child Centered Spaces serve as safe havens where children can play and begin healing from the wounds of war, violence, and natural disasters. In northern Afghanistan, for example, these spaces have offered many children who had never gone to school a first opportunity to learn to read and write until government schools could open.
Examples of ChildFund's Educational Efforts
Boarding schools for Massai girls to encourage education instead of early marriage in Kenya.
Literacy courses for out-of-school youth and adults.
Formal and non-formal Living Values education.
After-school tutorial and mentoring assistance to children and youth.
Building schools, classrooms, and skills training centers for youth with no access to primary or post-primary education.
Peace-building schools and educational programs in conflict or post-conflict areas.
Establishing Child Centered Spaces in areas affected by war or natural disaster.
Providing Accelerated Primary Education for ex-combatants, children, and youth affected by war.
Skills training to help youth prepare for entry-level jobs in computers, carpentry, tailoring, secretarial, auto mechanics, and other job fields.
Direct assistance to children in need through high school scholarships and the provision of school supplies and school fees.
Promoting youth leadership and participation in community transformation processes.
Teacher training.

The Children's Education In Family
The difficult art of educating the child belongs primarily to the family, which although today is in great danger, is supported by God through the special grace which the married ones receive by the sacrament of marriage. Every year, millions of men and women soar in the service to become parents and for this aren’t required exams or degrees. However ‘one of the most challenging and difficult tasks in life is to take a child, a small creature, totally helpless and to assume full responsibility for its growth’ so that it becomes a self-controlled person, a useful member to the family, to church and society.
Because education is the art of human training of tomorrow, parents cannot be human’s of the past, anchored in formulas, but must go with their children, to adapt the steps with them, ‘to let themselves free to continue as soon as they are capable of this’. They have the duty to form the conscience in their child, the character, will, to build their critical personality to be able to freely choose what’s good, to be responsible and opened with generously in serving.
The most effective method of education is to do ourselves what we teach others. The great secret is that education is not just words, advice, command, but for example, environment, climate of affection and search and development of simple reports, immediate and loving. The great moment in education is childhood, during which are specific: the trust time, forming of the vocational skills, happy-free time, the time in which indelible memories fix in mind, the time in which they assimilate the family traditions.
To create a climate of a serene family, it takes patience, love, gentleness, goodness and endless sacrifice. There are still parents who adopt in children’s education two wrong attitudes:
- The first is the ‘too high tolerance ‘because they do not want to be authoritative, understanding that education means ‘not to impose, not conditioned, not to limit’’;
- The second attitude is the ‘repression’ manifested by: rough relationships between parents and children, punishments applied the rule violation, the application of the ‘intransigent and systematic.

Early Childhood Education Background
The first eight years of a child’s life establish the foundation upon which the child grows and develops. Because these first years are an especially critical time in the growth of the child, ChildFund offers a variety of programs to ensure proper growth and development. These programs recognize the importance of investing early in children’s development as a means to build social equity and give disadvantaged families a better chance of breaking out of the cycle of poverty. Effective programs in Early Child Development (ECD) also increase the likelihood that other programs, such as basic education and health services, will be successful.
ChildFund-supported ECD programs focus on strengthening the synergies among children’s health, nutrition, protection, stimulation, psychosocial support, and age-appropriate play and learning opportunities.
In conjunction with ChildFund programs on maternal-child health and nutrition, environmental sanitation, adult education and income generation, ECD programs contribute to building the capacity of families, communities, and other stakeholders to create an environment where young children can grow and develop their potential.
Ensuring School Readiness through ECD
ChildFund’s ECD programs help children make a successful transition to primary school by building school readiness skills. ChildFund has always tracked the physical growth of children in communities where it works. In addition to monitoring weight and height, ChildFund has developed a culturally sensitive, universal monitoring scale that measures a child’s developmental progress in critical areas of child development including:
Social and emotional skills
Cognitive abilities
Gross motor skills
Fine motor skills
Communication and language ability
By monitoring a variety of developmental milestones, CHILDFUND can take advantage of critical opportunities to detect and correct developmental delays as early as possible in a child’s life.
ChildFund’s Principal ECD Interventions
Along with basic education, ECD is a cornerstone of ChildFund's work and a key element in ChildFund’s approach to building social equity. Around 11 percent of ChildFund’s investments go towards Early Child Development programs.
ChildFund promotes ECD through the following program interventions:
Advocacy at the local, district, regional, national, and international levels – Achieved through awareness-building efforts, Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns, newspaper and electronic discussion groups, organizing constituent groups, and conferences;
Capacity building at the local, district, regional, and national levels – Training those involved in providing education services, establishing ECD centers, enhancing parents’ skills, and training the staff of community-based organizations (CBOs);
Service Delivery – Providing services such as training and follow-up coaching for parents or caregivers; health, nutrition, early stimulation, and psychosocial support for children; and the training of facilitators and teachers;
Knowledge building – Using participatory studies such as action planning, focus groups on topics such as indigenous knowledge and practices, applied research and evaluation, and the publication of papers, to expand CHILDFUND’s understanding of issues related to ECD.

Plan Your Child’s Eduction
You can argue that how can you plan something in easy steps as every family is in different financial situation but the fact is that you have to plan one day or another so why not start now!
– Keep The Education Plan In Your Name: If you can keep the plan in your name that would be an asset when you apply for the financial aid. Many financial institutions usually put huge financial requirements which aren’t possible for your child to fulfill. So, choose wisely and keep the plan in your name or in the name of your wife (insurer).
– Choose College Plan Wisely: There are different plans to follow, choose the one which suits you best. There are certain ifs’ and buts’ on saving for college plans, so better inquire about the best plan which suits your needs. Also investigate the plan and inquire about how they invest money to help it grow. Be sure to get the details of the plan you have opted for.
– Estimate How Much You Can Contribute To Your Child’s College: Get zeroed on the contribution and estimate how much you would be eligible to pay when your child starts his/her college. Before your final decision, give it a careful thought considering your family income. Moreover, always estimate the amount you would easily pay before opting a plan.
– Invest In Tax Free Plans: This is an asset when you opt for the educational saving plan that gives you a head start. If the money you are paying is also earning your tax benefits that’s best for you and your family. There are many plans which help families to save for college because anyone can open one, and the money invested grows tax-free and can also be withdrawn without being taxed.
– Determine A Tuition Program: Prepaid tuition plans are college saving plans that are guaranteed to increase in value at the same rate as college tuition. So by purchasing the equivalent of a year’s worth of tuition today, you ensure that in 15 years your investment will still be worth a year’s worth of tuition at the current rate.
– Compare Different Plans: Comparing different plans will help you in determining the best and suitable plan for your child. This will also help you in understanding the current market standing of that particular plan.

Why Early Childhood Education So Important
Early childhood education is usually referred to the learning process that takes place in a child from his/her birth to when he/she starts school and this varies in different countries till the ages of two to five to eight. In early days, a child started his/her education at home, but nowadays, both parents being working, children are being sent at times to the care of a guardian of sorts or being sent to pre schools to be taught skills which would help them grow later.
These early years are the most critical ones when foundations are laid for future development. Research has shown that formation of later behaviour and values are developed during this time and neglect can lead to defects in the child which may not be rectified later. Early child education plays one of the most important roles as they help in the social, emotional and mental development of a child. A child at that time hasn't yet realised his/her identity and should therefore be brought up in an environment that allows him/her to grow freely without any restraints and inhibitions and explore his/her interests.
These five to eight years are the years of informal learning whereby a child automatically learns with the help of games, songs, dance and by listening to stories. Though, with the passing of time, this learning process is being changed and is now becoming much more orderly and structured, yet the basic factor of learning through play remains the same.
Mental and physical abilities grow at an incredibly fast rate at this period and so it is crucial that a child receives proper nurturing. Play with the help of adults help a child to learn responsibility, social skills, values and ethics. It should be kept in mind that social values and behavioural patterns once learnt at this stage cannot be easily changed later and hence care should be taken. A little older child now starts learning individuality as well as cooperation and begins to think and reason in a proper manner, again the medium being play. Play also helps them to learn to express themselves in a better way and hence leads to emotional and social development.

Start Teaching Your Children Early
Many people worry that they are not being proactive in their child's development in order to increase their brainpower. You have to take active part in your child's development and education so that they are better capable of handling any problems that might come up in the future. The more prepared and experienced your children get the better off they will be because they will know what to do and how to react to any situation if they are geared up.
Developing your child's mind at a very young age may be one of the best things that you can do in order to help them prepared for the future. If you're going to be helping your child out and set them up for the future, the best thing you can do is start off early with many different mind exercises such as shape recognition when they are six months or older. Here are a few other suggestions you might want to take into consideration when you're trying to advance your child's mind at a very young age.
Like it was mentioned before, you want to be able to start teaching your children around or earlier than six months so that they can get more information into their brain. At this age, the brain is like a sponge. A sponge absorbs all the water it can until it cannot hold many more. The brain at this age is just like that because it wants to absorb all the information that it can receive and then some. The only difference is that a human brain has almost no limits, especially when trained at an early age.
Teaching your children shape recognition and even some other colours at this age will give them the upper hand when they are one year or older. Once there are around one year old you can start teaching them more on the letters of the alphabet and how to start connecting the letters into sounds. Kids should be introduced to books as early as possible - even when they cannot read.
By the age of two you'll be able to start teaching your children how to read and write if they do not know how you that already have do. Starting them off by learning their letters and how each letter sounds will give them a great advantage when it is time for them to star reading because they will know all the sounds of each letter.
You'll be surprised on how fast they will learn and comprehend what they are reading just by doing these few simple techniques that will help advance them with their learning development. There are many other programs that you can find on the Internet that will do the same thing but why spend money when you can do it for free. Most of the good things in life are free and the best things are those that the parents give their children with love and understanding so that they can be fulfilled and happy adults.

Education Is the Best Investment Ever
All of us have some inherent talent and deep potential. A good education brings out the talent within us and helps us uncover our hidden potential. It builds our character and builds in us a respect for our fellow men. It teaches us patience and humility. A good education develops our thinking prowess, and teaches us to think. Critical thinking will enable us to analyse any problem from various angles and come up with different solutions, and thus help us solve the;problem. A good education teaches us to learn and how to access the knowledge we need. This is important since learning should not stop at school, it should be life long. When we learn how to learn we are better equipped to face life.
A good education would of course equip us with the knowledge and skills needed to embark on a chosen career and earn a living. While we should not confuse between a good education and a good degree, it is a fact that getting a good degree from a good school can open the doors to getting a high paying and satisfying career. Today a graduate with a sought after degree such as computer science, engineering, law, management etc from a highly esteemed (by the corporate world) school can start a career with a pay several times that of a ‘plain’ graduate from a lesser known school.
Getting such a degree would entail a significant investment of time and money. Such an investment may even be beyond your reach. But this is an investment that can pay very rich dividend, if you consider that you might be able to earn so much more. In my part of the world for instance a ‘plain’ graduate might get a job as a clerk in an office or retail counter at say Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 or so per month; but if they were to undergo the sacrifice needed to invest 3-4 years and several lacs of rupees as course fee for a ‘professional’ degree, they might start out with a salary of Rs. 25000 upwards. If you consider the difference in what you can earn in life-time, you will see what a wonderful investment it is.
Of course it is not enough to merely make the investment. You have to work to get the best of it. You will see that in any graduating class the difference between the top placed candidate and the bottom could be significant. IT is not uncommon to see a top salary of say RS. 50,000 and a bottom one of say Rs.20,000. So you need to work hard on your investment to get the best return.
Remember, also education is a safe investment. There is no risk of ‘default’. You can lose all your money, your job or even your house in very bad times (may they never come!). But no one can take away what you have learnt. Your education always remains with you.

Imported Silver Chains Really Better Or Not
Many individuals who love to wear jewelry made from silver have many imported silver chains in their jewelry box. They are worn almost every day with a variety of clothing styles. Imported silver chains are attractive as well as affordable when you compare them to other jewelry made from precious metals. This type of silver chains are versatile and can fit any style and type of fashion sense you have. The same silver chains can be doubled to be worn as a bracelet or anklet, as well.
Simple Style
The simplest style of silver chain is the link chain. This is more commonly known as a cable chain. Loads of imported silver chain designs come from the simple cable design. The curb of the necklace is also designed to be a flat cable. The Figaro silver chain is flat like the curb style but, instead, has three shorter links and one long link. The Mariner, Gucci, and Anchor styles have a bar going through the center of each link. The design of imported silver chains can be complicated designs or they can be structurally complicated. The chains are simple links which are woven into many different patterns.
Versatile Designs
More intricate designs are made with a ring link. This is close in design to the chain maille used by the knights. Two types come from this to include the flat style and the round style. European imported silver chains are flat with wide strips resembling fabric. This same technique for the heavy-duty armor of the past is used in modern times to make the silver chains strong and sturdy. They are also lovely to wear. This type of silver chain is usually handcrafted as mechanical machines cannot care for the delicate links. This handcrafted item means more detail and delicacy in the final jewelry piece.
The Heart Of Italy
Most commercial imported silver chains are shipped from Italy and are made by machine. They are produced to be of great quality and come in many styles to choose from. This makes them a great choice in imported silver chain. The metal is very bright and white as each is put together and plated with .999 silver. It makes them a finer piece and whiter than normal. They look great with anything you choose to wear whether it is a pair of jeans or a special occasion black dress.
American Made
Manufacturers located in America also create quality imported silver chains. They come from Rhode Island mostly. These pieces come in smaller quantities and are only found in the more high end jewelry and department stores. When jewelry stores purchase the chains, they buy in bulk rolls and customize them to the desired length. This means a customized piece in the right style and length you need.
The modern techniques that produce quality imported silver chains give even more reason for this to be the first choice in fine jewelry. These styles are trendy, popular, and are great for being affordable. There is no reason not to consider adding one of these pieces to your jewelry collection.

Early Childhood Education Affects A Child Very Much
Parents who are thinking of enrolling their children in an early childhood education may encounter a lot of issues regarding the appropriateness. There is an on-going debate with regards to sending children to school before they even reach 5 years old. Some people believe that kids are better off playing and enjoying their childhood, while others think that children need to be taught early on. Both of these may be due to the fact that they just want their children to enjoy, while others simply want to take advantage of the intelligence they possess during this stage.
While there may be some facilities offering educational activities for children below 5 years old called day care, this is not really the formal early childhood education. It is simply much like a baby sitting service since it usually offers toys and other activities that incorporates fun and learning. In this facility, education is not much emphasized. In the recent times, early childhood education puts its focus on the formal learning process as well as the other vital operations.
According to research, some children can benefit from an early childhood education. There is a lot of effective curriculum for kids all over the world. Basically, the schools give the parents a guarantee that they will keep the children safe in the school. Aside from the facilities, the pupils will be able to learn and enjoy the educational programs offered. This usually covers playing, learning, as well as socializing. These aspects are integrated together in preparation for primary school. As expected, some children will excel in other areas, while others will simply show average result. Nevertheless, these children are expected to stand out in academics in so far as the age group is concerned.
Amongst the primary purposes of early childhood education is the early onset in introducing the learning process to them. Before even reaching pre-school age, some parents think it is appropriate to expose them little by little to what their life will be in a few years. During this phase, the child will not just experience the regular brain development, but they are also given the chance to enhance their physical and verbal abilities, too.
The skill of the teacher is crucial in early childhood education. Patience and variety are needed in keeping these little children interested. They will not just use the conventional lesson plans, but they will also prepare the resources for their pupils. Creativity is a must since they need various types of teaching styles in keeping their attention span, and energy at bay.
The concept of early childhood education is fairly new, and has been increasingly popular amongst families with the goal of ensuring their child excels as they grow up. While this idea is appropriate for some children, chances are, this will not do well with other kids. Before having your child sign up to one, make sure you do the necessary research. Furthermore, assess whether your child is mature enough to handle this much stress. Above all, let your child realize that you will always be there every step of the way.

California Early Childhood Education
Families throughout California face a growing challenge when they seek licensed care for their children. For San Joaquin Valley families, the problem is particularly acute. A report on regional education and youth preparedness published in 2004 by the UC Merced Great Valley Center indicates that 49 percent of Valley children go to preschool compared to 54 percent statewide.
UC Merced recently received a $600,000 gift from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation to support work that will address these critical issues. Funding from the foundation is already helping advance the pursuit of research, dialogue and resources to expand the availability of high-quality care and education for young children.
As a new research university, we have the opportunity to boost the understanding of best practices in early care and education through research, said Kenji Hakuta, dean of the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, who authored the proposal. Our goal is to develop the institutional capacity to provide regional leadership in increasing awareness and working with the early childhood education community to provide excellence in serving the community's early care and education needs.
Approximately half of the Packard Foundation funding will be allocated to support development of the UC Merced Early Care and Education Center, which is envisioned as a model facility that will offer care and educational programming for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children.
A second component of the initiative will focus on related research and policy analysis conducted by faculty and students.
Yet another portion of the funding will support regional dialogue designed to promote the quality of and access to early child care and preschool education. The Great Valley Center is expected to organize a series of town hall-style meetings with business, civic and political leaders; educational professionals; social service organizations; advocacy groups; and ethnic and religious leaders. Focused on the value of preschool and current trends in preschool, two sessions at the Great Valley Center's recent annual conferencein Sacramento have already started the dialogue on these important topics.

Early Childhood Education
Early childhood education or ECE is very important to young children. Often, when we hear the word, we associate them with preschool and kindergarten. This should not be the case. For this education, this starts from the birth of the child up to the age of eight were the development of the brain is really in progress. As a parent, you have to know how important this type of education to your children is to ensure that they develop healthy and whole. We have to know what they need, not only physically, but emotionally and mentally as well.
As a parent who do not have an idea what ECE is all about, or believes the misconception about it, you may think that providing the basic needs of your child is enough. It is important to understand that aside from the basic needs, they also have emotional needs like adults. They also need attention and affection from the people around them. Do not think that having a nanny to take care of them while you are away is enough. This is a common mistake for parents all over the world. Seeing that they are working hard for the family to make sure that they provide the basic needs, they pass the responsibility to the nanny when it comes to the emotional needs.
Note that within the ECE age or around birth to 6 years, you have to spend quality time with your children during their development years. You have to help them, as parents, to establish their identity in this early phase of their lives. Nannies are just your support group and not your replacement. What You Need To Know
Information regarding this can be found everywhere. There are a lot of books about it, self-help that may help you understand your child’s need. You can, in addition, consult a child psychologist so that they can explain to you further the importance of being there for your kids during their pre-school years.
Aside from that, the Internet is a good information tool as well in order for you to explore the world of preschoolers. There are thousands of references online that can provide you with not only the basic information but also advance information regarding this. There are also list of examples why it is important and how being informed will help your child as they grow up.
You – The Parent
As a parent, we have responsibilities to our children as soon as they are born. It is important that we establish their identity at a young age by helping them through their early years in life. It is vital to their success as an individual when they grow up. Take advantage of their young age to build a better foundation between you and your child. Ensure that they feel your love and affection together with feeling that they are accepted. By doing this, you are establishing their self worth. Read about early childhood education and surely, you will never go wrong in raising your child. And good quality time is often enough.

Focus On Early Childhood Education
Early childhood education is the formal teaching and care of young children by people other than their family or in settings outside of the home. 'Early childhood' is usually defined as before the age of normal schooling - five years in most nations, though the U.S. National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) instead defines 'early childhood' as before the age of eight.
A child's needs during early childhood are different from those of older schoolchildren, because early childhood sees the greatest growth and development, when the brain develops most rapidly, almost at its fullest. It is a period when walking, talking, self-esteem, vision of the world and moral foundations are established.early years of life are critical to the development of intelligence, personality and social behaviour.
Research on brain development attests to the importance of key mental, physical and social capabilities. If these fundamental capabilities are not well established from the start, and especially if neurological damage occurs, a child's learning potential could be adversely affected.[citation needed] As such, education in early childhood must have its own specific practices and issues.
For programming purposes, it has been decided to extend the concept of early childhood to about 8 years of age. This age range provides the opportunity to reinforce the view of the development as a continuum. It will facilitate the interaction between the pre and initial school years. The concept of basic education calls for the inclusion of early childhood and the key "survival" grades, that is, the first two or three grades of primary education.Early childhood education often focuses on children learning through play.

How to Transition From Parent to Teacher
Home schooling is becoming more popular each year but there are still some parents that worry they won't be able to make the transition from parent to teacher and so they hesitate to try. Home schooling your child is a lot different from sending them to a public school but with the right resources any parent can be a great teacher and give their children the education they need. The main requirements is a strong desire to teach your child and the time to do so.
Tips on how to make the transition from parent to teacher:
· The first and most important thing that you need to realize is that you don't have to be a trained professional to educate your child. This is something that you've been doing since the day they were born and teaching them to read, write and do math is no different.
· Don t worry about not being able to answer all of your child's questions. As a parent, you don't always have all the answers and you're not expected to as a teacher either. This is actually a good opportunity to teach your child how to research and find the answers to questions you don't know.
· As a teacher you should have respect for your child and give them the space and time they need to learn at their own pace while at the same time making sure they are doing their best. This is the same requirements needed to be a parent.
· You will be a guide for your child pointing them in the right direction and giving them the means to learn. Fortunately, there are many resources available that will help you provide the information needed to teach them.
· Observe your child and see what techniques help them to learn more easily and which ones seem to make them frustrated and aggravated. This is easy for a parent to do because who knows your child better than you.
· Be creative and make learning fun for both of you.
Making the transition from parent to teacher is not as difficult as many parents believe because it's really no different from what you've been doing all along.
If you choose to home school, you will be responsible for your child's education and making sure they meet the standards of the state in which you live. You also need to make sure they have the education needed to continue on to college and prepare for the world that awaits them. However, the way you choose to teach your child is completely up to you and you're free to use any technique that works for your family.

Build A Stronger Family When You Homeschool Your Children
There is quite a history behind homeschooling because many countries have a history of home education. Where and how children in the United Stated are educated was greatly impacted by laws passed which required children in the US to attend school. Over the last 50 years or so, many things have happened that have caused parents to reconsider public schools as a means of education for their children, these events and influences have often lead to tragedy in US schools.
There are of course many parents who are not satisfied with a lot of the aspects of a traditional education. It is really not surprising that parents want to have more control over what happens to their children. The teaching their children are being taught as well as what happens to them is important to parents. Here are several of the many benefits of homeschooling your children.
One of the metrics so many parents look at when they are considering a new school for their children is the ratio of teachers to students. That is a prime indicator of many things not the least of which is individual attention. Because public schools have become overcrowded, the attention a teacher can give to each child has suffered because there simply isn’t enough time in a day. There are many students who can benefit from receiving more attention. When homeschooling, this is a situation that is resolved. Individual plans can be developed for homeschooled children that involves the amount of attention they receive and this can be adjusted as the need arises. No matter what the subject, this attention can make a huge difference in a child’s overall success in learning.
You can avoid those disruptive influences also known as “bullies” when you educate your children at home. We all can identify with that issue for the most part.
This of course depends on where you attended school, nevertheless, we still understand how much of a problem it can be in the classroom. Other kids who cause problems interrupt the class, and this causes the teacher to stop and deal with it. Your child’s education time is decreased when this behavior occurs. On top of this, you also shield your children from others with behavior problems by teaching them at home.
For some people the homeschool education can be the perfect solution to addressing areas of strengths, weaknesses and challenges. Homeschooling is defined as a customized approach to a child’s education offering an alternative to public education that best serves the child’s needs. This allows a child who is lacking in a particular subject to receive more one on one attention in that subject. On the other hand, if a child excels in any subject, then that can be developed further. No matter what the strengths or problem areas of a child might be, having a homeschool environment gives them the chance to develop in a healthy and supportive atmosphere.
Homeschooling can be fun and more exciting for the parent and the children. Because you have room for creativity in your child’s education this is true for most. There really is no reason why everything needs to be taught in a classroom. Stimulating young minds is often accomplished by making learning fun, new and exciting. That alone can lead to a greater interest in learning and education.

Selecting an Early Childhood Education Course
Are you looking for a course in which you have great abilities with children and desire to generate very good cash in the long term? A single training course that I had been dreaming of being able to study to fit my skills may be the early childhood schooling training course. I just had this idea a few days ago following realizing that motherhood isn't that uncomplicated. Whenever you see your kid developing up and he is growing up to become somebody that can actually check your patience you'd probably really wish to know what may be the do's and don'ts of becoming a great mom. As being a mom, I want to get capable to give my kid the ideal of me, so that inside future if he will likely be on his personal he will likely be capable to use the wisdom I shared with him.
I am generally having a good challenging time with my 2 yr old, since he is often performing factors that I know, he doesn't know yet which isn't the points I want him to try and do. I want being a strict mom occasionally however it also tends to make me really feel guilty every single time I do it the challenging way. I will not want being spanking him through his childhood so that he is not going to waste his food. I will not need to whip him every time he throws me factors or slap me or hit me in any way; I know which is just his childish techniques. My fear is that he will develop up disrespectful, I am truly afraid to increase him the wrong way mainly because I know that what ever the outcome of the little one in the long term, it would constantly be the parent's fault.
The early childhood training program will help me realize young children much more, and how I can train them inside way, that he will set it in brain and he could have a superb judgment on items. For me, a childhood's education and learning is incredibly essential, as they say kids from up to half a year outdated will possess a photographic memory that could catch each detail from the factors you have stated or accomplished in front of him, producing him vulnerable towards grown ups' errors. In the exact same time, this course will give me an option of employment that I will probably be pursuing. I might consider teaching little kids in the exact same time knowing what to try and do with my own. I wouldn't anticipate it for being best but at least I are going to be in a position to adjust to youngsters and not get too inconsiderate to my two yr old. It is this kind of a wonderful feeling to possess a little one, but when faced with difficulties in giving out discipline, I generally fall out and flicker.
I have study 1 post that mentioned "children don't recall what we say, but they recall precisely what we do". I am guessing that for a fantastic start out before I acquire up this training course, I will start it with becoming a good instance. And ahead of I could forget in that post it mentioned, "don't' bring operate at home", this really is exactly where I am very guilty about.

Music and Early Childhood Education
Studies have shown that there are far more benefits to immersing ourselves in music. In adults, the benefits range from a coping mechanism for pain (emotional and physical), to improved motor skills. These benefits also extend to young children as well, which makes it such a great idea for parents and teachers to incorporate music into their everyday routines.
According to the American Music Conference, research has revealed that learning about and creating music may help improve our overall learn abilities. It appears that thought patterns that come about when people create music it helps improve language learning, and math and social skills.
Classical Music Makes Kids Smarter
Known as the Mozart Effect, experts have found that when people listen to classical music, such as Mozarts piano sonatas, there were improved results on the Stanford-Binet IQ test by as much as eight to nine points.
The short-term benefit can be found in what is referred to as spatial-temporal reasoning, which is important for resolving problems in everything from engineering to art. A study from the University of Wisconsin's Department of Psychology found that this benefit held true for preschoolers who received musical training.
The brain-boosting benefits dont stop there. When kids grow up listening and participating in music, they enjoy what they call a "rich sensory environment." Researchers believe this increases the neural connections between brain cells.
Here are some of the additional benefits that researchers have found when kids are actively involved in music:
- Preschoolers perform better in reading and math when they begin school
- They are better at focusing
- They play better with other children and have higher a self-esteem
The great thing about music is that the love for it is ingrained in nearly every human being pretty much from birth. Of course, everyone's interest level varies, but this fact makes it an easier learning tool to use. Here are a few simple tips for using music as a learning tool:
Buy your child musical instruments. They don't have to be the more expensive variety, consider a ukulele, tambourine, or conga drum, all of which are very affordable on any budget.
Play music in the car with your children and have a sing-a-long.
Take your children to age-appropriate musical events. Libraries and bookstores often host childrens musical shows
While special methods may be needed to get children interested and attentive to other subject matters, music takes little effort to get their attention. It gives parents and teachers the perfect opportunity to accelerate a child's educational and social development.

How To Teach Your Child Respect
Teach them respect! If you feel that you have not been successful in being able to teach your child respect, read this article for some helpful tips. The basis is that our own behavior is respectful to both our own children and the people we deal with. After all, the research shows that about 95% of child behavior is actually imitated from what they observe whereas about 5% is actually learnt. How many times have we heard parents complaining that their children show them no respect at all.? 'They just do not respect me' is a cry we often hear from frustrated and angry parents. What they are really saying is that their kids and teenagers are not really taking their ideas, values and feeling into consideration at all. The teenager's wishes are being pushed to the forefront. In other words, the teen is intent on getting his own way and that nobody else's feelings matter. But the reverse is often true when some teenagers feel that their parents do not respect them. They are feeling that they have been neglected and that their emotional needs have not been satisfactorily filled and that this basically amounts to a lack of respect. This sometimes lingers into adult life when they will make a big scene about something because they are still suffering from the lack of respect that they are still feeling, even though this occurred many years ago.How do you teach your child respect?
The first way is to show the child that we respect them and listen to what they say. We may even want to get down to their eye level to actually demonstrate that we are really doing this. We can also be models for respectful behavior ourselves so the simplest rules of saying 'thank you' and 'please' are standard both inside and outside the home. We do not even need to remind them if we use these formulae ourselves when dealing with others.Another way is to avoid over any excessive reaction when our kids call us names because they do not get what they want. We can quietly tell them that this does not work and that if they want something, they just ask for it politely. If a parent overreacts in this situation and punishes the child in some way, it is unlikely to teach the child respect!
Teaching respect will last forever if we do it right because our kids will grow up respecting others. That will extend to more tolerance for people who just happen to be different. That can extend to different races, sexes, sexual orientation, age, and a whole lot of other issues. Have you set the guidelines down? Have you laid the foundations? If you need advice on raising well balanced kids who can become happy well adjusted adults, you could look at the child behavior program below. This addresses a lot of the issues from how to teach a child respect to dealing with other behavior issues such as aggression and violence. Why not check this one out?Let a consultant child psychiatrist with over twenty years experience teach you how to have more fun and less stress when dealing with child respect issues. Robert Locke has written extensively on parenting for many years.
Tips for Helping Your ADHD Child with Homework
Parents can help an ADHD child complete homework without resorting to yelling and threatening punishment. Understanding the thought and behavior pattern differences in their child equips parents to help a young one complete homework in a reasonable timeframe and retain a greater level of knowledge. Not all ADHD children are alike. Some have minimal hyperactivity symptoms; others may focus well, but have difficulty controlling their moods and physical actions. A different approach treats each type of behavior.
Homework Tips for Kids with Attention Deficit Problems
* Remove Obvious Distractions: Turn off the television and radio, remove siblings from the room and close the blinds before beginning homework.
* Use an Egg Timer: An egg timer provides continuous visual cues to help the child pace progress and stay on task.
* Verbal Cues: If you catch your child daydreaming or fidgeting with school supplies, gently remind them to return to the task of completing their homework.
* Break Down Large Assignments: Large assignments can be overwhelming to a child with attention deficit disorder. Parents should break these large assignments into smaller, manageable chunks. This also helps create an ongoing sense of accomplishment as the child completes each portion.
* Use White Noise: White noise, such as the humming of a fan, helps an ADHD child concentrate.
* Write It Down: ADHD children often forget homework assignments seconds after being told the tasks. Purchase an agenda book or school planner to track homework assignments. Teach your child to use it daily.
* Keep a Schedule: Routine schedules make a big difference in children with ADHD. Setting a time for homework every day allows the child to prepare for the activity. Be sure to select a period when your child's concentration levels are the greatest.
Homework Tips for Kids with Hyperactivity Disorder
* Frequent Breaks: Allow the child to take a break at set intervals during homework time. This relieves the desire to move around, fostering greater concentration.
* Burn off Excess Energy: Allow the child a few minutes of free time, preferable outdoors and prior to the homework session. Transition to homework time by slowly decreasing physical activity until the child is able to sit still to work on assignments.
* Use Index Cards: Write out spelling words, memorization items, or key facts on index cards that the child can flip through while standing or walking around the room.
* Try Standing Up: Use a podium for completing homework instead of a desk and chair. This may allow the child to expend small amounts of physical energy while allowing him to complete homework in a timely manner.
When helping an ADHD child complete homework, be sure to give frequent words of praise for each small accomplishment. Patience, encouragement, and understanding are necessary in dealing with these extraordinary children.

Tips to Help Children to Learn to Read
In the view of many experts, reading readiness includes:
* "The teachable moment for reading: Just about the time that the student seems most ready to learn how to read." (See Dechant, Emerald. 1991.Understanding and teaching reading: An interactive model. Hillsdale, NJ: Lawrence Erlbaum.)
* "A transition extending over several months during which time the child (student) gradually changes from a non-reader to a beginning reader. In this case the readiness program couples the (student's) past learning with new learning and brings the (student), gradually, through the transition." (From Clay, M. M. 1992. Becoming literate: The construction of inner control. Portsmouth, NH: Heinemann.)
The Ready to Read Child
Simply put, reading readiness is the point at which a child is academically, emotionally, and mentally prepared to read. Being ready to read means that the child has the skills that he or she needs to understand the concepts of reading. It also means that the child is able to comprehend what he or she reads. The point of early literacy programs is that they prepare children to read. In the homeschooling environment, this means reading to young children, sharing verbal stories with children to spark their imaginations, and setting a good example for children by reading yourself.Interestingly, early literacy, or reading readiness, is often a "program" that comes naturally, especially to the parent that emphasizes the importance of education. Many home school educators believe that learning is a lifelong process and that preparing children to learn is as important as the act of learning itself. For this reason, reading readiness is a process that occurs rather naturally within the homeschooling environment.
Preparing Children to Read
There are several strategies that can help parents and home school educators prepare young children to read. Just as significantly, children should have easy access to reading material. From colorful and entertaining early reader books, to television shows that include simple text reading opportunities, and even the back of a cereal box, children need to be surrounded by fun opportunities to read.Reading opportunities present themselves in the oddest of places. Some parents like to play word games with their children while driving. Others help their children prepare to read by locating letters on a page to teach their child letter-recognition. Still others employ traditional methods such as taking the time to read together for a few minutes each day.
Even though children may seem to be only "looking at the pictures" when reading with an old child or an adult, they are also implicitly learning significant elements about words, sounds, and sentence structure.Children also need a great deal of guidance as they learn the basics of reading. Although every parent would like to believe that his or her child is a natural genius, the fact is that even a genius needs help getting started. That's why it's important to make sure that children have help with beginning reading concepts such as phonics and syllabics. Taking the time to sit with a child and read with him or her can make all the difference in the world.

Build A Stronger Family When You Homeschool Your Children
No matter what the strengths or problem areas of a child might be, having a homeschool environment gives them the chance to develop in a healthy and supportive atmosphere.Homeschooling can be fun and more exciting for the parent and the children. Because you have room for creativity in your child’s education this is true for most. There really is no reason why everything needs to be taught in a classroom. Stimulating young minds is often accomplished by making learning fun, new and exciting. That alone can lead to a greater interest in learning and education.

Can you educate children in a unique way
Childhood is the age when people learn things easily and also remember it forever. It is the time when kids learn to live in discipline and practice recognizing a friend and a foe. This is the time when children develop self confidence and start facing challenges. If a child develops a phobia then there are chances that he will live with phobia throughout his or her life. Revolution’s Kids Martial Arts Benton helps children live healthy, think positive and behave decently. These kinds of arts teach them to fight and overcome negative influences and people that are present in the civil society and in their bodies. If you think that Revolution’s Kids Martial Arts Benton is only about fighting then it might be wise to revisit your thought.
While it is a fighting art, in modern times it is not only focused on fighting but also focused on sport and building self-confidence, discipline and determination in the children. While in the martial arts center, children learn to do various exercises and make exercising their habit. The training of this sort of combat sport prepares them for any possible circumstance, whether bad or good. They learn to smile in distress and find ways to wade through troubled waters. Martial Arts training prepares them for any battle ahead.Revolution’s Kids Martial Arts Benton makes children strong from inside. It tones up their body and develops their muscles. Practicing Martial Arts means using full power of their body and mind. Children have to be careful and alert. You have to be ready to run at once and stop immediately. It is Martial Arts that teach them to be cautious when talking or dealing with strangers.
The center is where this kind of combat sport is taught like a school for children where they learn those lessons that help them emerge victorious in any circumstances.Children are the future of the nation and it is the duty of the parents to teach them social etiquettes like helping the poor and less fortunate. At Revolution’s Kids Martial Arts Benton center;kids come to know what their social responsibilities are and what characteristics they should develop to fulfill those responsibilities. They practice controlling their emotions, anger and happiness through exercises involved in this kind of combat sport. Simply put it is a fantastic art that is very much useful in today’s modern times. Though very much different from traditional education methods, this kind of combat sport plays a crucial role in shaping the body and mind of children.

How to Help Your Child in School
PHYSICAL WELL-BEING
Making a commitment to serve the best brain foods to children will help your child in school.Another critical consideration is the amount and quality of sleep that children get each night. Sometimes, parents will send a sleep-deprived child to school with the warning that the parent had
Reading
The foundation of a child's education is how well they read. Let's face it, good readers do well in school, and poor readers do not. Even people who don't enjoy reading can be good readers. To help your child in school, parents who don't enjoy leisure reading still need to demonstrate its importance to their children. Children's first reading "lessons" can begin in the womb. There is a body of research that supports the idea that the fetus responds to reading aloud. Even if parents don't read to their unborn children, all children should be read to daily starting from the first few days of life until they can read on their own. Even then, emerging readers are delighted to show off their newfound skills by reading to their parents. What a motivator for them! To get an older, reluctant reader to improve, have him or her read to a parent or younger sibling as a meal is being prepared, for example.
Requiring a child to read consistently is very important, but it should not be a case of "Do what I say, not what I do." So, parents will need to be early and consistent role models for their children. Also, it might be wise if parents don't tell their children that they, themselves, don't like to read when the children are young. If the child is a reluctant reader, they won't be able to use that as a reason to avoid reading. If parents aren't leisure readers, they can still let their children see them reading: e.g., reports for work, magazines, news articles, etc. Children should remember seeing their parents reading throughout their childhoods.
To help your child in school aside from being a good role model, an important ritual to establish is to implement a family silent reading time at least five days a week. That means that the television and other distractions are turned off, and everyone in the family grabs a book, a magazine, etc. at the same time. For 30 minutes, everyone reads. Sometimes, someone can read aloud a short passage that really excites or confuses him or her. Even the non-readers in the family can have an audio book to listen to (with headphones) while they follow along during this time so that this becomes routine to them as well.
Study Environment
Once your child is school-aged, you can help your child in school by providing the best study environment for your children. Study time should be consistent and includes both homework AND studying! Most children think that completing written assignments is all they need to do, but they also need to study. The promise that a child can watch television or play video games "When you finish your homework" is a major reason that children do not study. Usually, there is the mad rush to complete the written work just so they can go do something more enjoyable. It should be noted here that parents need to help their children manage their time so that they do not have too many extracurricular activities each week. A good rule of thumb is no more than two extra activities—one physical and one non-physical is preferable--each week. Sometimes children are just overscheduled and overwhelmed doing too many things that they have nothing left when it's time to study.
Teacher-Parent Partnership
Parents should view teachers as partners in their children's education. That means that no disparaging comments about the teacher should be uttered in front of the child. (Of course, if needed, parents should seek administrative intervention for serious problems with a teacher but not with the child's knowledge.) Parents need to be actively engaged in monitoring their children's performance and progress.

the Most Vital Aspect of Your Education
Some great writers had access to little or no formal education. Herman Melville educated himself by reading, and Samuel Clemens left school at age thirteen. Louis L'Amour, famed writer of westerns, dropped out of high school and read great books as he traveled the planet. Hans Christian Anderson was self-taught by following the example of his self-educated father. Poet, Carl Sandburg, dropped out of school at age thirteen and Elizabeth Barrett Browning educated herself by reading literary classics and Shakespeare. Scientist and children's author, Beatrix Potter, never attended school. Some national leaders had access to very little formal schooling. George Washington, Commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and U.S. President for two terms had little, if any, formal education. Abraham Lincoln enjoyed less than a year of schooling. And Abigail Adams, wife of second president, Samuel Adams, (and one of the more literate Americans of her time), was tutored by her grandmother and encouraged to read.Florence Nightingale, pioneer in nursing and hospital care, read widely and was tutored by her father. Colonel Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame, dropped out of school in the sixth grade. Thomas Edison was considered by some teachers as too stupid for school and was taught by his mother at home.
And both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were college drop-outs.So, I ask you, why is reading so important? 1) All the knowledge necessary for life and for success is available. It's availability becomes mind-blowing when you realize that with the click of a button the billions of pages of the internet can identify exactly what knowledge you are searching for. 2) Step-by-step how-to manuals and instructors are easy to access, making almost any job possible. 3) If you want to learn to write well, there are now hundreds of books available that coach you in the finer points of writing in any genre imaginable. 4) If you need motivation and inspiration, there are books that can help you keep going when every atom of your being cries out that you cannot succeed in your goals. 5) If you're tired of mind-numbing TV shows that always seem to end up the same way, turn to the millions of books available for enjoyment and entertainment.Of course, this article encourages formal schooling for every child; it's available and vital for all nowadays!
But if your children or students seem to be indifferent to reading or even hate it, there are ways to change that. Expose the children to a book that matches one of their interests, and you will see dull eyes light up. They will go after books of that sort. If you have to whet their appetites with read-alouds, you will know you've struck a winner when they ask you to read just one more chapter. We must assist children today in spending their multitudes of free hours doing things besides TV and video games. Find the books that will turn your kids on to a lifetime of reading!Steve Fortosis has a Ph.D. and is professional writer and free lance editor. He helps writers get their stuff edited and published. Mistakes Parents Make In Early Childhood Education
Not reading to your children
If you don't read to your child, you miss out on several benefits. The first one being that you don't get the quality time that reading to your children will afford you. Irrespective of how many educational books you purchase for your child if you're not involved in reading with them, they will generally not benefit that much. Educators who have worked with children on a daily basis say that parents should be reading to their children at least twenty minutes a day. It doesn't matter what you read to your children as long as you're reading to them. The benefits of this will show later on in your child's life.
Not regulating their television use
The second mistake concerns the watching of television. Many parents let their children watch as much TV as they would like. You need to make sure that your child watches a maximum of one hour to two hours of television a day. Any more and this can negatively impact on your child in the long run. Also make sure that you make a point of watching these television programs with your child. Often programs showed on children's satellite channels or even on standard television can be completely inappropriate for children. Be sure to know what your children are watching at all times.
Not allowing your children enough unstructured play
While the benefits of early childhood education are important and deserve various structured forms of educational activities when your child is young, don't go too crazy. Making time for unstructured play in your child's life is critical to their development. There has been proof that parents who try to structure every second of their child's life can actually have a negative impact on them. Allow them to have freedom to play, discover and find out things on their own instead of just reading it up in a book or game.
Purchasing Books Beyond their age
While you might be tempted to purchase all sorts of books that can help promote early childhood education don't go too extreme. Try purchasing books with lots of pictures and bright vivid colors. These are the perfect books that can engage your child mentally.
By avoiding these mistakes you can make your early childhood education experience satisfying and fulfilling.

Ideas For Teaching Autistic Children
Throw in an autistic child with learning disabilities, and the task can seem overwhelming. However, the task is not impossible. By following some simple guidelines, you may be able to see a marked improvement. Whether you're a parent home schooling your child or a teacher with an autistic student in your class, these tips should prove helpful. The first thing you may want to keep in mind is that autistic children are generally very dependent upon routine. Rather than fighting this, it is a good idea to incorporate it into the learning process. In a classroom setting, routine is already well established, but it can be more difficult in a home setting. The key, though, is to stick to a schedule, and to not deviate based on convenience or other factors whenever possible. It can also be beneficial for an autistic child to learn in an environment that is as simple and uncomplicated as possible. Autistic children are easily over-stimulated, too many decorations or visual aides can serve to be a major distraction from the lesson being taught. An area free from distractions, loud noises and bright lights is what you should be aiming for.Another interesting idea is to incorporate multiple methods of delivery into your teaching lessons. While many children respond differently to different mediums, this difference is much more distinctive in autistic children.
They may respond best to visual images, so incorporating simple illustrations or symbols that represent learning concepts can be a valuable teaching tactic. Experiment to find the method of delivery that is easiest for them to learn fromOffering an autistic child a choice is another great way to get them involved in the learning process. Rather than presenting a child with an answer and asking him or her to figure out if it is correct or incorrect, present a series of options and let the child choose the option that seems best to him or her. This is a great way to create an interactive teaching environment, and to stimulate thought and cognitive response from a child. It is also a good way for them to feel more in control, lessening the chance of a frustration outburst or negative associations with a particular lesson or idea.A key point to remember is autistic children are extremely resistant to changes in their environment.
Because of this, you should meet their expectations whenever you can. Introduce new ideas gradually. Introduce new learning methods when the child is having a good day or is in a positive mood. Adhere to routine as much as possible, as this is what your child expects and desires, and what will facilitate the most effective learning environment. It's true that teaching an autistic child can be difficult. But it is not impossible. It takes a little hard work, a little patience, and significant understanding of the needs of the child and the teaching methods and strategies that will be most beneficial to them. Tips for Early Childhood Teachers
I've spent the majority of my teaching career in the lower grades, so I know how exhausting it can be to answer zillions of questions every day from the little ones who are so inquisitive!A few hints and tips for this special area of the school:Be prepared to be tired in your first few weeks, especially if you are teaching year one! The first few weeks of 'routine making' can be really tough on both you and the kids. I would highly recommend scaling down any out side of work commitments for the first month of the school year, for your own sanity - and so you can give your very best to the studentsIf there are any problems with the students in your class, you are probably going to be the first person to break this to the parents - so expect some resistance and try not to take it too personally.
When I was a brand new teacher I remember I had to deal with a little boy who wasn't learning at the rate of the others, and the parents became really defensive about it, and I got really upset. Learn from my mistake - it is not personal, they are just worried!Keep a good supply of tissues, wet wipes, spare uniforms and a mini first aid kit in your room in case of toileting accidents. I know this might sound crazy, but for children coming to school for the first time, they may not understand that they may need to use the bathroom at school (especially for a bowel motion) and accidents happen. If you have spare uniforms on hand, you can greatly reduce the child's embarrassment, and the parents will love you for being so sensitive to the needs of the littlies. Set up your routine as early as possible. Little kids feel safe and comfortable within a predictable environment, which means less behaviour hassles for you. Keeping things routine, organised and predictable is a great idea.
